Tommy Hilfiger Opens First Anchor Store in Tel Aviv, Israel

The ‘Tommy Hilfiger’ store will be the brand’s largest location in Israel,

and will open at Sarona, Tel Aviv’s exclusive new shopping destination, on March 20, 2014.

Tommy Hilfiger will make his inaugural visit to Tel Aviv to celebrate the store opening event on April 2, 2014.

AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS (March, 2014) The Tommy Hilfiger Group, which is wholly owned by PVH Corp. [NYSE: PVH], is pleased to announce the opening of the first Tommy Hilfiger anchor store in Tel Aviv, Israel, on March 20, 2014. It is the largest Tommy Hilfiger store in Israel, and is located in the center of Tel Aviv at Sarona on Kaplan Street, prominently situated amongst a mix of local and international brands and retailers. The store is operated by Al Srad Ltd., exclusive distributor and master franchisee of Tommy Hilfiger in Israel.

Mr. Tommy Hilfiger will attend the official store opening celebration on April 2, 2014, where a variety of activities and installations will celebrate the brand’s preppy lifestyle and “classic American cool” heritage. Guests will be invited to browse a special showcase of the Spring/Summer 2014 collections – including styles presented on the runway during New York Fashion Week, which marks the first time Tommy Hilfiger Collection will be available in Israel.

“Sarona’s unique retail concept and historical setting create an exciting, eclectic atmosphere for our collections,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “Our stores around the world are the ultimate expression of the Tommy Hilfiger lifestyle and showcase our unique brand spirit: welcoming, inclusive, engaging and fun. Our new Sarona location has a sophisticated yet relaxed aesthetic that brings the whole personality of the brand to life.”

Local celebrities, press, fashion insiders and bloggers will attend the opening event, which will be followed by an exclusive dinner at Jajo Wine Bar. The opening festivities will be shared globally via Tommy Hilfiger’s social media channels and aggregated using the dedicated #TommyHilfigerSarona hashtag.

The Sarona store’s approximately 725 square meter / 7,800 square foot interior reflects a blend of traditional and modern influences that epitomize the quintessential Tommy Hilfiger aesthetic. The store will offer a wide selection of the brand’s collections, including Tommy Hilfiger Collection, men’s and women’s sportswear, tailored, accessories and childrenswear.

The Sarona project is an urban open-air commercial center and historical site. The development involves the preservation and renovation of 33 historic stone buildings – some of which date back to 1871 – transforming the area into Israel’s premier destination for shopping, dining and culture. In designing the Tommy Hilfiger store, many of the original architectural elements of the space have been preserved, complemented by new features that will include custom fixtures and displays. An array of mid-twentieth century pieces – such as traditional American antiques and graphic artwork – juxtapose against classic furnishings and accessories, providing an eclectic backdrop for the brand’s collections. The Sarona Tel Aviv store echoes the refined elegance of the Tommy Hilfiger global flagships in New York, Paris, London, Tokyo and L.A., while incorporating the classic, American, cool look and feel that’s at the heart of the Tommy Hilfiger brand.

There are over 1,200 Tommy Hilfiger stores in over 90 countries worldwide including global flagships in seven locations: Fifth Avenue, New York (September 2009); the Champs-Élysées, Paris (November 2010); Brompton Road, London (August 2011); Omotesando, Tokyo (April 2012); Regent Street, London (November 2012); Robertson Boulevard, Los Angeles (February 2013); and Schadowstraße, Düsseldorf (August 2013).
