These global convenings that drive global action also provide opportunities for PVH to reaffirm our Corporate Responsibility Forward Fashion commitments to act. We’re proud to be a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) ‘Statement from business leaders for renewed global cooperation’. Signing the statement reflects the dedication of the business community to continue to partner with the UN, Government, civil society and each other to strengthen justice, ensure accountability and transparency, promote equality, and respect human rights. And, it calls on governments worldwide to create an enabling environment that serves the interest of people and planet, prosperity and purpose, through strengthened international cooperation and partnership.

UN Global Compact’s Business Ambition for 1.5 Degrees Commitment Letter

Together with many of our peers, PVH signed our support to the  UNGC’s Business Ambition for 1.5°C Commitment Letter. In our signing, PVH joins the global movement of leading corporations aligning their business with the ambitious aims of the Paris Agreement to limit the global temperature rise to 1.5°C and reach net-zero by 2050, in order to avoid many of the impending impacts of climate change. Joining the UNGC’s commitment to set a long-term target to reach net-zero value chain emissions by no later than 2050 underscores our existing commitments made in setting science based targets to limit the global temperature rise to 1.5°C, and builds upon our Forward Fashion goal to Eliminate Carbon Emissions and protect the global climate by reducing energy use and powering our business through renewable sources. We’ve set a key target for PVH offices, warehouses and stores to be powered by 100% renewable electricity by 2030 and to drive a 30% reduction in our supply chain emissions by 2030.

Discussing Climate Action in the UN Global Goals Studio

Senior Vice President of Corporate Responsibility Marissa Pagnani McGowan joined industry peers for a discussion on climate action and the business case for sustainability in the UN’s Global Goals Studio - a broadcast studio capturing the best of UNGA week through newsmaker interviews and expert panels that amplify and explore the work of the UN and its partners. Marissa spoke to the benefits of the alignment of corporate responsibility strategies with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the interconnectedness of climate impact across the entire value chain, from the sourcing of materials to our retail stores. The full program can be viewed here: Part 1Part 2 and Part 3.

We are proud to stand alongside our peers in the global community to work towards solutions through collaboration and partnership. These convenings are one of many steps necessary to drive action, and provide opportunities for PVH to reaffirm our Forward Fashion commitments to act, as we continue to prioritize climate action and our work to to achieve a more just, equitable future for all stakeholders.
