Building on a legacy of creating unforgettable moments that fuse fashion, sport, and entertainment, Tommy Hilfiger brought the adrenaline-fueled world of FORMULA 1™ to the Met Gala red carpet. British actor and F1 star Damson Idris — who appears alongside Brad Pitt in the upcoming film — made an entrance in a moment that fused high fashion with cinematic glamour.
The style icon and Menswear Brand Ambassador pulled up to fashion’s biggest night in an APXGP car from the film, before stepping out onto the carpet wearing a racing suit, together with a red, white and blue helmet adorned with 20,000 hand-placed Swarovski crystals.
The reveal didn’t stop there. Idris had his jumpsuit dramatically removed by two ushers to unveil a bespoke TOMMY HILFIGER tuxedo, embracing this year’s dress code, Tailored For You. Shifting from racetrack energy to red carpet elegance, he then joined Sofia Richie Grainge, Tommy, and Dee Hilfiger on the steps of the Met Gala.
Womenswear Brand Ambassador and a defining face of modern fashion, Sofia Richie Grainge embodied the power of her ongoing partnership with TOMMY HILFIGER, wearing a custom ecru statuesque ball gown with a voluminous dandy-inspired bow.
Tommy Hilfiger wore a TOMMY HILFIGER X Denis Frison tailed tuxedo suit, crafted from vintage cloth with an interrupted pinstripe, while Dee Hilfiger wore a bespoke tailored gown in a complementary palette and a degradé scattering of crystals and rhinestones.

This year's Superfine: Tailoring Black Style exhibit explores the importance of style to the formation of Black identities in the Atlantic diaspora, particularly in the United States and Europe. Inspired by this year’s dress code, TOMMY HILFIGER delivered one of the night’s defining statements. The dress code was interpreted in many ways, from reimagined tartan prints and modern dandy flare to voluminous bows and silhouettes that balanced structure and softness.
Apple Original Films’ F1 will be distributed in theaters around the world and in IMAX by Warner Bros. Pictures in North America on June 27, 2025, and internationally beginning June 25, 2025.
